Progress...?

Previously from January 2006 post.

In no specific order; my resolutions (written 1-06) for now...

  1. Learn HTML by DECEMBER - I lost my motivation on this one and could care less whether I learn it or not.
  2. Keep in FREQUENT contact with family and friends ie: a minimum of weekly w/ mom & sister and monthly or bi monthly with grandparents, dad, friends, & brother.- I've been doing well calling my mom, but haven't really called anyone else. I can't seem to find the time.
  3. Read the bible DAILY - OOPS! Was this really on my list? I guess I may have read it maybe 7 days so far. I just can't get into it for some reason.
  4. Improve my diet DAILY by: taking daily multi-vitamin, eating at least 2 meals per day, and one serving of fruit and vegetables. - Uhh, I take a vitamin about 3 x/week, eat 2 meals a day, plus many junk food sancks, and am lucky if I ever eat a fruit or vegetable, which I still need to work on. Although, I have been eating some vegies and fruits in the last few weeks.
  5. Complete our yard projects by APRIL- will definitely require a miracle!- Yay, the yard is functional, yet I still need to dig up a few dead plants and spread some rock.
  6. Learn how to proficiently utilize all functions on my new serger. - I think I know how to use it fairly well, but still don't know how to use the different presser feet or what they are even for?
  7. Go on a date at least ONE TIME PER MONTH- We just started doing this again in April or so.
  8. Have my house cleaned and in order by APRIL, when both of our families come to visit.- Only my parents came and I think it was clean? G's parents are coming for Thanksgiving and I am feeling optimistic about finishing our current projects.
  9. Refrain from contacting J and pondering over the past ONE DAY AT A TIME- I don't think I've contacted J at all this year (I would have to look back through my posts on this one). I do think about him a lot, but try to block out any thoughts.
  10. Live each day to the fullest with a positive attitude- Yes, I try to do this, but still struggle sometimes.
  11. Consider enrolling in a Master's program for SPRING 2007; preferably online or in the evenings- well, I missed the deadline for this year, but have looked into several programs. $450 a credit is insane! I just have to decide on the right one now.
  12. Begin exercising (yeah, a classic!) at least ONCE per WEEK starting when I get the chance (revision of resolution required to determine starting date).- I started in March (I think), but stopped after returning from my vacation in August. I really need to just get a gym membership, because my hopes to purchase a personal gym were dashed when we decided to turn our loft into a "game" room we will never use.
  13. Say "NO" when I don't have the time or energy- Yes, I am doing awesome on this one, except for my obligation to serve at church.
  14. Consult with another specialist regarding my health problems and persist until issues are resolved starting MAY-AUGUST.- This goal prompted me to review my progress, because I am estatic I finally have an appointmet with an OBGYN in October!!! The doctor I was previously referred to couldn't get me in until January 2007! This new doctor even specializes in surgeries, so I am hopefully optimistic I won't receive yet another referral. I also have an appointment with an allergist this month that I've been putting off for over 5 years! Now I just need to get into the dentist for a cleaning.
